Vertical news videos that concisely explain global stories that start trending on social media.
Why do they have a vertical format? Because over 90% of people access social media through their mobile phones, and as they scroll down, they are holding the phone vertically. Hence, a vertical video will occupy the full screen and become easier and more prone to be watched. All of these videos were produced in a span of one day, crowdsourcing the most impactful videos and images.
The timeliness, video format and relevance of the topics are the reasons why these vertical explainers achieved thousands of views on millennial platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok.

NEWS REPORTS
Most of these international news reports were completed as a one-woman-band or multimedia journalist. This means: Arianne travelled solo through Europe while pitching stories, finding the right interviewees, shooting the video, writing the scripts, editing the video, doing her own hair & makeup, recording herself on camera, and delivering the videos on daily deadlines so they could appear on American television.
This know-how has definitely come in handy when working with videographers for bigger projects: Arianne not only presents on-air and writes the stories, but also provides creative ideas on the visual aspect.
