The garment industry in Asia and Africa was hit especially hard during the pandemic. Women and single mothers were the most affected, as they represent the majority of workers in textile factories. From 2020 and 2021, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) implemented income support programs and safety mechanisms in seven countries.

An inside look to a truck in Lausanne, Switzerland,  known for distributing free sterilized tools for drug consumption purposes. This initiative aims to help addicts avoid contracting diseases from reused needles. After 13 years of operation,  the truck expanded into a facility where addicts can consume drugs in a safer way, while being supervised by trained personnel.

A "High Five" for Venezuela

Moved by the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, five women in Pamplona, Spain, join forces to send medical and basic essential supplies to the South American country. They have managed to send hundreds of kilograms of medicine, through the luggage of those who travel to Venezuela, and give a hand to those who need urgent help.
